Spackman Reunion

Quinn, Travis' little brother, is leaving on his mission next week, so the family got together for one last weekend together.  They played a lot of games, from Disney Pictionary to basketball to board games to life-size Hungry Hungry Hippos.  That was a fun one where people were on scooters, had laundry baskets, and tried to gather balloons from the center of the gym.

Pictures were also taken during the reunion, which is a mandatory thing to do when the family gathers together.  Quinn also gave his farewell talk and we had a couple of extended family get togethers for the long weekend.

Cool Stuff Wyatt

Flashlights and Bikes... The joys of life!!!

Wyatt just got a flashlight from his Grandma and Grandpa Wright. It is pretty cool because it has covers you can change out with different colors and animals. He loves to place the covers on the coffee table, walk across the room to shine it on a dark wall in the Landry room, and go back again to change the cover out. When he does this he has to have an audience so says "Come here mom/dad." Its pretty cute.

This weekend Wyatt also got his first bike. He is slightly too short to reach the pedals, but he is working on steering while we push him. He thinks its the coolest thing ever.

Puppy

Travis and Emily decided to get a puppy. They realized it would never really be a good time to get a dog, so why not now. They found some Golden Retrieve/ Lab mix puppies on KSL. The puppies have a nice mother and are in a good home with cats, dogs, and kids (one even the same age as Wyatt). Travis and Emily decided to get a brown female and plan to name her Tatyana, Ana for short. Travis picked the name because it was one of his favorite girl names from his mission. Tatyana is only two weeks old and will join our family June 24th.

Strawberry Garden

Last weekend Richard and Amber gave Travis some strawberry starts. Travis has been working hard to create a raised garden to plant them in. Emily remembers having a strawberry patch while growing up and loved it. She wanted an area for the kids to tend and pick strawberries. Travis did a great job!

Mother's Day

A message from Emily:
Wow what a fun day! I can not believe how blessed I am to be a mother! I love my little boy very much. I cannot fully comprehend the joy, love, and emotions Wyatt brings to my life. I can say that he makes me laugh everyday. I also cannot wait to meet our baby girl. Thank you Travis for being such an amazing husband. I could not have this amazing life without you. You try everyday to love, support, and cherish your little family. I love you!

Thank you boys for making my life so worth living!

Days Events:
Travis let Emily sleep in and gifted her with a massage gift card. Emily was very excited and plans to use it during her third trimester when she gets even more sore. At church the men and young women took over all the callings, giving Emily the chance to attend the regular meetings (she currently teaches CTR4). In Relief Society, they had a short message from the bishop and then the women ate pie. After church Travis, Emily, and Wyatt visited the Spackman house and then hosted dinner for the Wrights.

Baby Kate

It is official! We are having a baby girl. Emily is 22 weeks along and feeling much better. Travis and Emily have decided on the name Kate. It was the girl name they had picked out before they knew Wyatt's gender. Kate is measuring small, meaning she could not be as far along as predicted or she takes after her mother. Only time will tell. Wyatt doesn't seem to have grasped the concept, but will tap on Emily's belly and say baby (and the do the same to his own belly). He does understand that the 3D ultrasound is a picture of a baby. Exciting times!
