Last week was our Spring Break. As students we always looked forward to Spring Break, but we never realized that it is something that teachers look forward to as well. Interesting how your perspective can change. It may be that teachers enjoy the break more than the students do.
Travis kept busy during spring break. He helped a fellow teacher sheetrock his basement and a neighbor to sod his lawn. He also played soccer with his brothers and started exercising to get ready for the upcoming season. During the weekend Travis, Brain, Quinn, and Derek went to the European stores in Salt Lake. They found some cool things and remembered fun memories from their missions. After returning from the stores they played a few games (Travis won - of course).
We spent a few days in West Valley with Emily's family during the break. We went to a Grizzlies' Hockey Game and hung out with family. Emily got some more maternity clothes, including a very cute dress. Larger clothing is becoming necessary due to her belly starting to show more and more.
For the end of Spring Break, we went back to the Wright's house. We celebrated Leslie's birthday. She is now 21 years old, we think. Sometimes we don't even remember how old we are. It doesn't really matter anymore. Emily's dad got us tickets to see conference in the conference center. We went for the final session Sunday afternoon. It was Derrell's (Leslie's husband) first time. As always it was a great experience. Elder Kopischke spoke, who has a son at Mountain High in two of Travis' math classes.
It was a very eventful Spring Break. Not much of a break, but still very enjoyable.
